FOCUS

Focus on the goal
As all great athletes do!

Our goal for life
Is what is true!
Make Jesus’ way
The goal for your soul,
Since His Way is True.

Focus on Jesus’ Truth
To see life through.
He is the prized goal,
Worthy of your soul!

So focus on Him,
To find His joy within.

CONFIDENCE

Confidence in self? –
Or confidence in God? –
See it both of these ways –
And you will be glad!

Confidence is a balance of these two! –
Hard to attain, but true!

Aim to become
A balanced woman or man,
Then serve God
The very best you can!

FOLLOWING CHRIST IS A DISCIPLINE

Following Christ is a discipline!
Mind over matter! –
A discipline, at the start of each day

Decide to believe!
Look forward with joy,
To Christ’s leading –
To everything you are needing.
Each day a new joy

President Lincoln said
“You are as happy as you decide to be”!
So decide along with me –
To be happy in Jesus,
And follow his way with me.

GIVE ME A ONE TRACK MIND, O LORD

Give me a one track mind, O Lord,
To talk about Jesus all the day.
And even at night,
To sing and pray!

A scholar going blind
Is not a pretty thing -
But perhaps,
A chance to sing His praise!

To sing of Salvation
For every nation -
To sing of God’s love
Brought us from Above -
To sing of Jesus’ good cheer
Both far and near!
And also to yourself,
When all alone -
Tired, cold, and far from home.

So please do give us
A one track mind
To sing His Praise,
All of the days
We have left to sing!
