FOLLOWING CHRIST IS A DISCIPLINE

Following Christ is a discipline!
Mind over matter! –
A discipline, at the start of each day

Decide to believe!
Look forward with joy,
To Christ’s leading –
To everything you are needing.
Each day a new joy

President Lincoln said
“You are as happy as you decide to be”!
So decide along with me –
To be happy in Jesus,
And follow his way with me.

YOU MUST PRAY EVERY DAY

You must pray every day -
To do the wise thing
And know what God has to say!

God and Jesus, by Their Holy Spirit
Will lead you aright -
Just pray every night
To choose the right way.

Share your love and life
With our God, and
Steer clear of sin.
Happy you will be -
Without and within!

You will find life
Worth living -
Full of love and giving.

The Muslim Solution

If good and intelligent Muslims will see and correct the errors Mohammad made in 700 A.D. when he renamed God The Almighty Father as Allah, and also left out His Son Jesus Christ as God the Son and our Redeemer -

Then when these errors are seen and made right, peace and love will come, and Muslims will worship Them in their mosques along with us Christians.

REAL FREEDOM

God set the Human spirit free
By the beauty and power
Of His Love -
Manifest from Above
In Jesus’ Love!

His Love sets
The soul of man free
As nothing else does.
So live this life walking with God
While on this earth you trod.

I WOKE UP ON MONDAY

I woke up on Monday -
Here I am another day,
Instead of home with Jesus,
As last night I did pray.
To go home in my sleep,
Is my heart’s desire,
But still I stay -
Oh, God, show me the way.

MESSIAH’S LIFE SCRIPTURES

Aim to live by
Jesus’ simple Scriptures.
They hold life’s TRUTHS,
So give them a try.

Let not a day go by
Without His goodness and kindness.
They will return to you –
Even in old age’s blindness!

His Scriptures are true,
So please don’t have to rue
The day
You “broke them in two”.

His scripture rules are designed for you
To live life correctly and rightly thru!

YOU ARE NOT GROWN UP

You are not grown up -
Or even free, -
‘Til you are free of hate!!
First for your parents,
Who were not perfect persons,
You see!
(Even as you and me!)

Next, hate for others
Is a trip to avoid,
So as not to fall
Into the void
Of a loveless life -
Full of meaningless strife.

Ask God for help
As you drop that trap
Of mindless hate,
For Jesus’ Way of love.

Then Hallelujah and whoopee -
Grown up you will be!!

TOUGH OLD WORLD

This tough old fallen world
Really does stink -
I’d be out of here in a wink
If it wasn’t for the Lord Jesus Christ.

He and God are “All in All” -
Overcoming the Fall!

So because of THEM,
I carry on -
Looking for life’s good
And throwing out the bad.
It’s the only way to defeat the sad.

Focus on the joy of salvation,
Which will bring on sublimation
And even elation!

Let the Great Trinity reign,
And all will be gain -
Defeating suffering and pain.

Walk on with God and Jesus
‘Til death comes along,
And you’ll sing the song of Heaven!

TAKE CONTROL

Take control of our lives,
So say all the wise.

First goal is God –
Give Him more than a nod,
But all that you are –
Begin your way to a Star

Jesus is the Star –
Your control from afar,
And nearby too, when strength is sought,
And His control is needed.

This is real life control –
With God and Jesus as goal –
The rest will be given,
As you have striven,
To turn over control,
TO THOSE WHO MAKE WHOLE.

THE VICISSITUDES OF LIFE

The vicissitudes of life,
I learned to take gracefully –
With Dear Jesus
Always helping me!

No wonder I adore Him
And I know He loves me!

GIVE ME A ONE TRACK MIND, O LORD

Give me a one track mind, O Lord,
To talk about Jesus all the day.
And even at night,
To sing and pray!

A scholar going blind
Is not a pretty thing -
But perhaps,
A chance to sing His praise!

To sing of Salvation
For every nation -
To sing of God’s love
Brought us from Above -
To sing of Jesus’ good cheer
Both far and near!
And also to yourself,
When all alone -
Tired, cold, and far from home.

So please do give us
A one track mind
To sing His Praise,
All of the days
We have left to sing!

BETWEEN THE LINES

You must read between the lines –
To decipher poetry such as mine.
The message conveyed
Needs to be weighed
By seeing between the lines.

The message, oh how I tried –
To make it clear –
A message of hope,
And good cheer –
Jesus’ WORDS, for all to hear –
Healing and helping His dear.

So try to read between the lines!

CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PERFECT

Christians are not perfect,
Just forgiven!

Forgiven! Forgiven!
What a wonderful word
From heaven was heard,
As God Himself
On the cross
Paid Sins’ great loss!

Hallelujah! To God the Father –
Hallelujah! To God the Son –
Hallelujah! To God the Holy Spirit –
The magnificent Trinity –
Three Gods in one!

ACCEPTANCE OF LIFE

Acceptance of life,
With all its strife,
Is acceptance of God’s Way,
Each and every day.

Jesus is IN His Creation –
In every nation –
In every particle –
In every article!
Colossians 1:17 does say –
Proving it is HIS WAY!

So don’t fear or despair –
Jesus IS always there
In your acceptance of life
For God is love, as the Bible states,
So please reject hate!

TEACH ME TO LOVE, O GOD

Teach me to love, O God,
For, love fulfills the law.
It’s might, and right!
It’s power fills with awe.

Love is what life’s all about,
From Above, within & out
Love fills the spaces that are left.
Lord, may I never be bereft,
of love

Teach me to love my fellow man.
Teach me as only Jesus can.
Keep my feet on His shining path,
'Til I know all Thou hath, of love.

Here Is My Learning

Here is my learning
Wrapped up in a poem
That I pray will "hit home",
'Cause I long to share
This knowledge of God I bear!

To share it,
Before I die.
