GOD’S BLESSED SLEEP

There is a reward
At the end of the day -
God’s blessed sleep.

It is a trip to mystery deep -
God’s way of bringing healing
For daily cares
That came stealing
Our store of courage and strength.

Quick as quicksilver
Faster than light -
At the ending of day
God comes to me as I pray.

Healing my soul -
A promise He will keep -
As I lay down myself
For His glorious sleep.

Healing wounds unending
With balm for their tending.
A gift that keeps giving
Through happiness or weeping -
It’s God’s Blessed Sleep !
