I AM NOT

I am not
“Going quietly
Into the night” -
But like an old
Mother hen -
Kicking up a
Lot of barnyard dust
And clucking loudly
To her chicks:
“Following Jesus
Is a must.”
Sounding the alarm
To keep them from harm!

(Yes, I do love
Those glorious chickens.)
Cluck! Cluck!
